Kenyans React to Ruto’s Hustler Manifesto

Kenya Kwanza Presidential candidate William Ruto has become a major talking point on social media after launching his manifesto on Thursday night.

Dubbed “The Hustler Plan”, aimed at changing the country’s economic fortunes with a focus on uplifting low income earners, Ruto’s manifesto focused on Health, Housing and MSMEs.

Most of the DP’s supporters have praised the document, saying it gives a clear road map to uplifting hustlers from bottom to where they want to be.

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdulahi spoke for all hustler when he dubbed the document as a shout for change and a beacon for a better tomorrow.

“What a plea for unity! What a shout for change! What a vision for a better tomorrow! What a beacon for a bright tomorrow! Congratulations! DP RUTO and his entire team have delivered an amazing…breathtaking…glowing MANIFESTO! I LOVE IT!” Abdulahi said on Twitter.

However, as expected Azimio Coalition supporters were up in arms over the manifesto with youthful politician Rodgers Kipembe going as far as claiming that the manifesto sounds like promises Luo men make to Nairobi women. In other words lies.

The Azimio Campaign Secretariat, even issued a statemen, questioning why Ruto had not outlined how he would tackle the issue of corruption.
